Why Can’t I Dispose of My Electronics Curbside? As of 2012, the Illinois Electronic Products Recycling and Reuse Act banned many electronics from landfills as these products contain hazardous material. Homewood Disposal, and all waste haulers, are no longer able to accept many electronics in residential curbside waste programs.
How Can I Responsibly Recycle My Electronics? Current residential customers can schedule a pickup on this page. Then, simply place your electronics curbside near your trash containers. Electronics that are placed curbside without scheduling with Homewood Disposal first, will not be removed.
